Speakers recall sorrowful day

Amy Batista photo. Community members and officials gathered Thursday to remember those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
EAST WINDSOR — The community gathered to honor those who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001.

"The events on Sept. 11, 2001 that took place in Manhattan, New York, Washington, D.C., and in a field in Pennsylvania changed America and the world in ways we have yet to recover from," said Deputy Mayor Alan Rosenberg. "Perhaps we never will."

F). Hess says: It should be interesting this year because we have so many new coaches in the league. Barring injuries we'll see who's gonna be there in the end. Three or four teams in our conference could go to the end of the bracket in their groups. We're optimistic but then again I think there's gonna be a lot of good teams in our conference. There are four or five outstanding girls who are gonna give everybody problems. Dakota Mills (18 goals, 6 assists) has looked real good in camp. We've got quite a few seniors that have looked pretty good. We're still not there yet. It's early. Our three captains, Dakota, Kelly Arnold and Haley Brennan will be our three top girls. We're working on our defense with Melissa Barnes and Christina Tous. We got a real good freshman goalie so we have a real good back-up goalie. Opening with Robbinsville, Hamilton, Steinert and Ewing in the first two weeks will definitely give us a barometer to judge our progress on. As usual, the Valley Division will be very difficult for everyone. Read more...
