Scout's project aids young hospital patients

EAST WINDSOR — A local Girl Scout is working to complete her Gold Award project and is on a mission spreading fun as she assembled her activity bags at the Hickory Corner Library last week for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do something that revolved around children with illnesses and conditions that restricted what they could do on the daily basis, said Alexis Emery, 18, of Hightstown.
